I want to brag a minute…

I am the best driver the world has ever seen!! I drove all the way from the massive carpark to my house yesterday and I didn’t even touch metal!

After about half an hour in a carpark and two previous lessons on quiet roads around my house, I was pro enough to take a spin on Oteha Valley Road, where the speed limit in 60km/h!! I had already perfected my turning, indicating, reversing and accelerating in the car park but I had only been up to 40km/h and even that felt fast!

But on the road it was a very different story. I was doing great and going 60km/h keeping up with everyone else. Soon I noticed that I was coming closer to the car in front of me pretty quickly. I looked down. 80km/h!! Ah!! I’ve only had my license for a month, I couldn’t lose it already!! I quickly slowed down to 60km/h again and completed the rest of my journey safely.

Apart from that minor mishap, the only other problem I faced was when I first got in the car and pushed the accelerator instead of the brake. Fortunately we were still in park so all that happened was a really loud revving that made me look like a total spaz, but everyone else there was a learner too and my driving skills were far superior to theirs anyway :P

All up, I’d have to say, I’m the best driver in the world!!! (If I was the only person in it)

Somebody has to say it…

Holidays are the best!! I just spent 3 weeks in Hawaii and I wish I had never had to leave!

No school, no work, no worries and best of all, NO RUSH! I slept in till 12 whenever I wanted, stayed up as late as I liked, and had no time to be anywhere. The people were all so friendly and welcoming and made me feel like I belonged. I do belong there, life is so much better!! The resort provided all the best foods at breakfast, pancakes, waffles, french toast, all that healthy stuff :P

I would spend all day out in the sun with the new friends I made. Kiwi’s all the way! (plus three averagely cool Australians) We were the cool kids, surfing the breakers on the reef and taking the bikes for 2 hours longer than we were meant to. We’d stay out late causing havoc like teenagers do. Hanging out in staff only areas and just being stupid. So awesome, it sucked when we all had to leave. But it’s cool because i got photo’s and memories and numbers to stay in touch so hopefully we can all meet again one day.

I love not having to go to school and instead spending all day in the sun. But I guess I was always going to have to come back to reality sometime, so here I am, back to my boring old life at school. Like I said, somebody has to say it!
